The indoor pool was a fantastic hit with our little one, allowing her to splash around while we enjoyed the relaxing environment. The location was perfect for attending the concert nearby, and our room was spacious and clean, making for a very comfortable stay.
My kids wished there was a wider dinner menu for families.

The hotel sits beautifully near the Castlefield Bowl, perfect for taking leisurely strolls along cobbled streets and canals, leading to a variety of bars and restaurants. The sizable bar/reception/restaurant area offers a casual dining experience, with well-cooked options, including an affordable all-you-can-eat breakfast for £8.95.
The sound insulation between rooms leaves something to be desired. I could hear the couple next door quite clearly, along with their TV, which made for a less than restful night. The decor of the rooms feels a bit dated, lacking that fresh modern touch. it was disappointing to find that the elevator was out of order for my entire stay, resulting in some serious stair climbing—not ideal if you’ve got mobility concerns. the WiFi didn’t work for me on the first night and without individual light switches for the room lights, flicking them all off at once can be a hassle.

Couple looking for a nice night away
The breakfast buffet was fabulous, with lots of choice, even had some decent biscuits in the room. Plus, the staff. they were so friendly, like they actually cared about my stay. Just what I needed. One time, a staff member even brought a drink to a homeless guy outside, really showed their heart.
It wasn't exactly cheap. but for what you got, it was still acceptable.

I enjoyed my stay at Castlefield. The location is fantastic, just a short walk to Deansgate and the tram lines. The gym and swimming pool were great add-ons, perfect for a workout or a relaxing dip. cleanliness wasn’t up to scratch. I found a dirty towel on the back of the door upon arrival, and the bedding had noticeable stains. The hairdryer was dusty, forcing me to clean it before use. The staff were super friendly, particularly the reception team. they made me feel very welcomed. Breakfast was nice, with a decent variety but could benefit from more options for those with dietary restrictions. Parking was reasonable for the area. I would consider returning, but I hope they address the cleanliness issues.
